Many MISOOK knits are expertly crafted with the meticulous "fully fashioned" technique in which each pattern piece of a garment is knit individually in its precise shape, leaving little to no wasted leftover materials.

BLUESIGN CERTIFIED DYING
As a part of our mindful crafting process, knits crafted with our signature yarn are colored using Bluesign® certified safe dyeing practices. Combatting one of the most wasteful and dirty parts of the garment fabrication process, Bluesign® identified over 900 harmful substances used in dyeing and requires its partners to forgo these in favor of cleaner, non-hazardous chemicals.Bluesign® also requires certified partners to adopt a more efficient dyeing process that uses much less water and energy than the traditional methods — ensuring fabrics are safe for the workers, customers, and environment.

Many of our signature, seasonal patterned wovens are mindfully printed using a digital printing process. Not only does this eliminate fabric waste by allowing us to create small, exclusive batches of fabric to meet our exact needs, it also cuts down on water waste, making it better for the environment.
Because it doesn't require as many wash and rinse cycles and removes the need for multiple printing screens, it uses much less water and energy than traditional wet printing while resulting in more intricate designs that can incorporate more colors.

RECYCLED YARNS
On average, according to the US Environmental Protection Agency, over 16 million tons of textile waste is created per year — and that’s just in the United States. To do our part in reducing this, a selection of our knits is mindfully created using yarns crafted with recycled fibers. This reduces textile waste while giving old materials new, beautiful life.
